Signs to call us
Some issues sort themselves out. These won't, and the longer they go, the more they tend to cost.
| What you notice | What it could mean |
|---|---|
| Burning smell when heating starts | Dust burn-off (normal first time each season). If persistent, possible wiring fault. |
| Sweet or chemical smell | Possible refrigerant leak. Stop using the system and call us. |
| Water pooling near indoor unit | Blocked condensate line or pump failure. |
| Loud bangs, grinding, screeching | Mechanical fault. Switch off and call before further damage. |
| System cycling on/off rapidly | Could be thermostat, sizing, or refrigerant. Needs diagnosis. |
| Sudden jump in energy bill | Hidden efficiency loss, often before performance noticeably drops. |
| Weak airflow from vents | Filter, ductwork, or fan motor issue. |
